BOOK OF MORMON – Moroni 7:3-4
“I would speak unto you … peaceable followers of Christ, and that have obtained a sufficient hope by which ye can enter into the rest of the Lord… And now… I judge these things of you because of your peaceable walk with the children of men.”
In my prayer closet this week, I was just kind of listing the things that I hadn’t done quite right this week. And it wasn’t meant to be a pitty-party, rather an honest confession of my weaknesses. But the word of the Lord came to my mind, clearly, in one phrase: “Peaceable Walk”. And it occurred to me that not only am I to walk peaceably with others, I am to walk peaceable with myself.
What does that look like?
It looks like me walking next to myself, not mentioning shortcomings, not even giving suggestions, just walking and looking on and loving myself through whatever it is I am walking through at the time.
I am where I am ready to be, and as I can accept that and accept me where I am at, I can peaceably love and progress to a better version of myself, with God’s help.
