About Me

Hi!  My name is Rachel, and I am the author of livingandtravelingwithkids.com.  Why?  Because I live and travel with kids – my own kids.

But, before these darlings joined me, I traveled some with my parents – Mexico to Canada, and many of the fifty-nifty United States, living in Utah, Iowa, Washington, and Idaho.  I studied, I worked, I volunteered eighteen months as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints abroad, in South Africa and Botswana.

Upon my return, and after I graduated from university, my sweetheart married me and soon after moved me and our meager household, consisting of one couch, one table, four folding chairs, and a portable piano, to the Big Apple.  Since those newly-wed years, Bryant and I have lived in Manhattan, Roosevelt Island, and, more recently, London, England.  We have traveled from Aruba to Alaska.  From Iceland to Istanbul.  And many places in between.  And, as suggested by the title of this blog, traveled much of that distance with children in tow – E, L, J and Baby M.

Please, enjoy our travels with us – past and present.
